Scott originally envisioned the strap inside a Haz-Mat vest donned over the level A entry suit, but quickly adapted the strap to fit inside the turn out coats.
Goal:
The goal is to provide a basic, low cost, Drag Rescue Device (DRD) that is readily available when the need arises, adopted by Departments nation wide.
Mission:
With the safety of all firefighters in mind, the mission is to continue promoting the device until it is recognized as one of the most cost-effective tools available to assist in the removal of a downed member. With today’s department dollar stretched thin and the increasing demands placed on our departments, the need to provide a most basic Drag Rescue Device (DRD) is now. |
